Hermes Agent is slower and less token-efficient than Claude or Codex for building apps. The correct mental model:
- Claude Code / Codex: build tools, CLIs, systems, apps
- Hermes: operate those tools, run recurring workflows, act as an employee within the system
Example: Codex builds a CLI for the PressWiz link marketplace. Hermes operates that CLI: searches for links, orders them, tracks results. You would not use Hermes to build the CLI.
